I received my degree as a weaver-artisan from Heinola Vocational School of Arts and Crafts in 1992. In addition, I was trained as a private entrepreneur at the old and respected Wetterhoff School of Arts and Crafts. I started my own company in the Autumn of 1993.
My main products are small series of woven textiles for interior decorating: table runners, pot coasters, pot holders. I also weave textiles by order and made to measure, everything from rag rugs to tablecloths and wall hangings.
In my products, I like to indulge in colour and to create varying ambiances with antique linen threads. I enjoy the different structures that can be created by using diverse weave patterns. I feel it is an honour to continue these ancient craft traditions in a modern spirit.
